MATH ENGINEERING & HEALTH SCIENCES
The School of Math, Engineering & Health Sciences offers a comprehensive curriculum that is enhanced by a broad spectrum of college preparatory courses and electives related to the fields of engineering, science and health care. Each student completes an Individualized Learning Plan, mapping their four-year course of study. Students from the school of Math, Engineering & Health Sciences graduate prepared for college; with a solid grasp of the sciences and a clear understanding of the health and engineering fields.
In the 9th and 10th grades, students explore a wide-range of professions by means of industry speakers, workplace tours, career fairs and college visits. In the 11th and 12th grades, students have opportunities to apply classroom learning and gain occupational skills through job shadowing, volunteering and internships. Many students from the School of Math, Engineering & Health Sciences have earned scholarships to summer medical programs including the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine at UC Berkeley, the COSMOS programs at UC Davis and the Health Professions program at CSUS.
