Math, Engineering and Health Sciences (MEHS)

Considering a career as a doctor, nurse, nutritionist, sports therapist, scientist or engineer? Interested in learning more about biology, chemistry, math or how the body works? In Math Engineering & Health Sciences you’ll have the opportunity to master high-level academic skills and knowledge while getting a head-start in the competitive engineering and health care fields. With UC Davis Medical Center as a partner, you’ll be exposed to the latest medical and scientific advances and gain valuable hands-on experiences.

Math, Engineering and Health Sciences offers a comprehensive curriculum that is enhanced by a broad spectrum of college preparatory courses and electives related to the field.

In 9th and 10th grades, student explore a wide-range of professions by means of industry speakers, workplace tours, career fairs, and college visits. In the 11th and 12th grades, students have opportunities to apply classroom learning to real-world situations through job shadowing, volunteering, and internships with local scientists, engineers, architects and industry experts.
